The Six Zero Ruby has been one of the hottest paddles of 2024, selling out of stock on at least three different occasions.  It has elite spin, great control, great power, and a big sweet spot.  The two main drawbacks I have for it are the lower pop and it can be on the heavier side for some.

  • Paddle Weight: 8.2oz AVG
  • Paddle Length: 16.3”
  • Paddle Width: 7.5-7.7”
  • Grip Length: 5.5”
  • Grip Circumference: 4.25”
  • Surface: Kevlar®️ Fiber
  • Core: 16mm
  • Swing Weight:118
  • Twist Weight:6.85

The Ruby is a great paddle, and it is a fun paddle.  It looks good, plays good, and makes you feel good using it. I think the reason it is such a hot seller is 100% because of the ruby red Kevlar face.

All that said, I do think the hype it has is too high because the hype makes it seem like it is the best paddle to ever be made, and for some, it is, but for many, it won’t be.

It has amazing spin, a huge, sweet spot, great control, and good power. Its biggest downfall is the pop which I often felt at the NVZ and is the reason I prefer the DBD over the Ruby.  For many the difference in pop isn’t a big deal and that is why they prefer the Ruby.

There is a special feeling of the ball on the paddle face of the Ruby. It feels like the ball dwells a little bit longer which makes the paddle feel softer than the DBD and there is less vibration feedback.

If you like a smoother hitting experience, then you will like the Ruby. It is one of the smoothest paddles I have played with, and I will attribute that to the Kevlar.  For $200 I think this is a good paddle, but it continues to sell out making it hard to find.

There’s a lot of clutter and garbage on the internet, so why would you trust us?

Well, because we don’t sell paddles. We get paid a small cut when you use our discount code so it’s a win-win and we can be unbiased in our recommendations.

Furthermore, we only recommend paddles that we have personally tested. We use each paddle for a minimum of 3 weeks and try to collect and present the most objective review possible.

Sure…we give our thoughts, but we also want to give you, the reader, all the information to form your own opinion.
