The Gearbox Pro Power Elongated is the most powerful legal paddle on the market and has the second-highest pop of any paddle I’ve tested. With that elite power and pop comes a sacrifice of control and a smaller-than-average sweet spot. This paddle is for aggressive players who still have good touch because this paddle will hurt your soft game.

Our Review
Spin
The Gearbox Pro Power Elongated has great spin so that helps keep your powerful drives and serves in. You need every bit of that spin because the ball just launches off this paddle.
Power/Pop
You get elite pop as well with a slightly higher swing weight than average at 121. This paddle excels for someone looking to rip forehand and backhand drives. You can serve big with this paddle then follow up short returns with a drive. You will have no trouble finishing overheads with this paddle. Your counter punches will be fast with little movement. The swing weight can hold you back in hands battles being on the higher side but all you need to do is get one good shot with this paddle to put the ball away. The control is hard with this paddle as the ball comes off so fast and the sweet spot is a little small.
Control/Feel
The paddle also twists in your hand a bit on resets and blocking drives so my preferred way to play this paddle is with weight added. My ideal setup for this paddle is with 3g of lead tape on each side at the 4 and 8 o’clock position. This helps improves the stability of the paddle a bit and doesn’t increase the swing weight too much. You can play this paddle stock but the control suffers. There is also a harsh vibration that you feel with off center shots, so if that bothers you it is a good thing to know. The price is another one to consider as at $275 there aren’t many paddles close in price but it offers something no other paddle currently does.
Manufacturer Warranty
Gearbox offers a 1-year limited warranty with the exception of the G12, G14 and G16 models* from the original date of purchase for purchases made directly from Gearbox or an authorized Gearbox dealer. All warranties are non-transferable and are for the original purchaser only. Product must have been purchased in new condition to qualify. Items purchased used or from a private party or an unauthorized dealer do not qualify. Proof of purchase is required for a valid claim and defective product must be returned to Gearbox for evaluation prior to replacement.
What Gearbox Covers
Gearbox’s warranty policy protects against factory defects including materials and workmanship. Coverage is valid for purchases made directly from Gearbox or an authorized Gearbox dealer. Proof of purchase and product evaluation is required for a claim to be opened, processed and approved.
What is Excluded
- Paddles with wear and tear as part of normal play
- Texture breakdown due to normal wear and tear
- Breaks, dents, scratches or other damage caused by any type of collision or impact.
- Breakdown of paddle edge from repeated strikes with the ground, negligent care and abuse.
- Paddles that are modified or tampered with in a permanent manner will not qualify.
- Purchases older than 1-year from original purchase will not be accepted.
- Paddles purchased “used” or new from a private party and unauthorized dealer.
- Transportation damage, acts of nature or accidents
- Any claim filed without a valid proof of purchase will not be accepted including a gifted product. Original proof of purchase is required.
- Any product not shipped to Gearbox for evaluation.
